Contrast - VR, alternative documentary

Contrast, 2017, is an animated, virtual reality documentary where the viewer is brought into the worlds of two color-blind artists.

Gabe and Jake experience the world from a limited color perspective yet are able to create powerful and beautiful art.

Contrast addresses the idea of turning something that others may consider a handicap into something that differentiates these artists from others, giving the viewer a unique way of seeing the world.

Cornell Box - Thesis exploration

My Cornell Box was playing with the type of aesthetic that I  might want to use with in the space where my installation/performance will sit -- dark, candle-lit, eerie and with a sense of unease.

I also wanted to portray the concept of the rotating faces in this fabricated box.  This exercise made me really think conceptually about space and what would lend best for the story.

Thesis Storyboard

Here is the storyboard and current questions that I'm having for my current thesis ideas
